INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Northern Kentucky University Norse track & field student-athletes
Colton O'Hara,
Olivia Kennedy, and
Cameron Bitterman were named in the Horizon League's 2026 Valeo Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Teams, released on Thursday. O'Hara & Kennedy were named to the All-Academic Team, while Bitterman was named an Honorable Mention.
Colton O'Hara's selection marked his fourth overall throughout his college career, as he had been named a 2025 Indoor, Outdoor, and Cross Country All-Academic Team selection, while also being named an honorable mention among 2024 cross country student-athletes. This past fall, O'Hara was named to the President's Honors List, and has been named to the dean's list and Horizon League Honor Roll on multiple occasions. On the track, O'Hara starred as a distance runner, notching fourth-place finishes in both the 3000m run and the 5000m run.
Olivia Kennedy earned her fifth selection to the Horizon League All-Academic Team, as she was selected to both the 2024 & 2025 Indoor and Outdoor All-Academic Teams. A Biological Sciences major, Kennedy is a star in the classroom, being named to the President's Honors List on five occasions, while also being named to the Horizon League Honor Roll and dean's list multiple times. On the track, Kennedy won the 800m Horizon League Championship for the second-straight season at the 2026 Championships.
Cameron Bitterman earned All-Academic Honorable Mention honors for the first time, following an indoor campaign where she won the 200m run at the Horizon League Indoor Championships. A multiple-time selection to the Horizon League Honor Roll, Bitterman had an outstanding outdoor campaign last spring, culminating in an Outstanding Running Performer honor, one she will look to replicate this May.
