ALEXANDRIA, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse track & field hosted the Norse Track Invitational on Saturday, hosting 14 programs. NKU dominated at its home meet, winning 11 total events across its men's and women's programs, the most out of any team competing at the meet.
NOTABLES (MEN)
–
Brenden Athan won the 110m hurdles, running a 15.08. Athan's time marked a new NKU record.
Osayi Ogbebor (second, 15.36) and
Charlie Casey (fourth, 15.80) also posted top finishes.
–
Micah Ward won the triple jump with a best leap of 13.56 meters. He also finished third in the high jump, crossing 1.90m.
–
Bash Hedger narrowly won the 100m dash, running a 10.78, which bested his own NKU and freshman records.
– Four Norse finished in the top five in the mile, as
Colton O'Hara led the way with a 4:09.47, winning the event.
Natnael Weldemichael was right behind him at 4:09.60, finishing second.
Nathan Ruth (third, 4:14.24) and
Stetson Childress (fifth, 4:23.69) also notched top-five finishes.
– NKU posted the top three finishers in the 800m run, as
Nathan Ruth won the event in 1:53.21 while
Jacob Messer finished right behind him at 1:53.87.
Natnael Weldemichael ran a 1:56.93 and finished in third while O'Hara ran a 1:57.83 and finished fifth.
– Camden Paulick won the discus throw with a best throw of 44.80 meters.
– NKU's 4x100 squad of
Bash Hedger,
Aaron Silva,
Elijah Harrison, and
Osayi Ogbebor finished first in the race, finishing in 43.01.

Riley Shelton finished third in the 200m dash, finishing in 22.35.

Brayden Holland finished third in the 400m dash, running a 49.39.
NOTABLES (WOMEN)
– The Norse comfortably won the 4x400m relay, as the squad of
Sierra Kendall,
Olivia Kennedy,
Erica Durst, and
Joi Bradley ran a 3:51.44.
– Northern Kentucky notched the top three spots in the 100m dash, as
Cameron Bittermann (11.89, first),
Meredith Goff (11.95, second) and
Lacey Klare (12.45, third) all recorded top times.
– NKU's 4x100 relay team of
Meredith Goff,
Cameron Bittermann,
Sierra Kendall, and
Lacey Klare finished first in the event with a time of 47.15.

Olivia Kennedy won the 400m dash, running a 57.24.

Lacey Klare finished first in the 100m hurdles, running a 14.49.
Sierra Kendall finished in third in 14.96 while
Katlyn Pham finished fourth, in 15.47.
– Bittermann also won the 200m dash, where she finished in 23.99, while
Meredith Goff finished second in 24.79.

Kaitlyn Strange won the 5000m run, running a 18:40.59.

Grace Biddle finished second in the mile, running a 5:00.48, which smashed the NKU outdoor program record of 5:05.89.
Maggie Foust (5:09.57) and
Brittany Arnold (5:10.15) were behind Biddle in third and fourth, respectively.
– Maddie Neary notched a second-place finish in the high jump, crossing 1.60 meters.

Kylie Dilley finished second in the javelin throw as she recorded a best throw of 33.75 meters.

Olivia Wingo finished third in the pole vault, crossing 3.65 meters. She also finished fourth in the high jump, crossing 1.55 meters.

Lizzie Casey finished third in the triple jump with a best leap of 10.40 meters.
