BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's golf headed up to Bowling Green on the weekend, competing in the two-round Dolores Black Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowling Green State University. The Norse finished sixth out of nine competing programs, and were just one stroke off of fifth.
Kenna Jenkinson led NKU at 11-over overall, and scored just one over in the first round. In her first round, she scored a 73 on the 72-par course, recording birdies on 17 & 18 while scoring a bogey on seven and a double on 16. Through the first round, Jenkinson ranked tied for second among all individuals, but she dropped to 11th overall after putting up an 82 in the second round.
Cammy Reed finished 22nd overall at 15-over, scoring an 80 in round one and a 79 in round two. Reed had one birdie in each round.
Ryliann Bednar finished in 26th overall at +17, scoring a 79 in the first round and an 82 on Sunday.
Ella Hardy (29th, +18) and
Eva Maley (35th, +20) rounded out NKU's group of scoring golfers.
Next up for the Norse is the Horizon League Championship from April 25-27, in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
