Norse Men’s Golf Eyes Dayton Flyer Invitational

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Following a two-week lay-off, the Northern Kentucky men's golf team will take the course for the Dayton Flyer Invitational in Kettering, Ohio. A 10 a.m. start is scheduled for Monday, while play is set to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

"I'm excited for our men to get back on the course," said head coach Daryl Landrum. "This is a good tournament on a great Midwestern course and is close to home. It should be a fun two days."

Clayton Portz leads a trio of Norse averaging under 74-strokes per round. Portz checks in at 72.69, while teammate Phoenix Ramsey is close behind with a 73.08-stroke average. Zach Wright closes the trio, averaging an even 74 strokes-per-round.

Jacob Brinker and Jackson Frame round out NKU's five-man team competing in the event. Matt Wetherill and Jacob Jackson will compete as individuals.

NCR Country Club will host the event. The men will take to the tees of the 18-hole, par-71 South Course. NCR also boasts an 18-hole North Course, where NKU's women's team is also competing.

Tee-times are slated for 10 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday.
