KETTERING, Ohio – Lillian Young came out firing on all cylinders for the Northern Kentucky women's golf team, as the sophomore sits in a tie for second on the individual leaderboard and has the Norse in 5^th overall.

• NKU shot a 307 in the opening round, which has the Norse in 5^th-place, one shot back of host Dayton.
• Horizon League foes Youngstown State (292) and Oakland (294) sit atop the team leaderboard.

• Young is in a four-way tie for second, as four players from the Horizon League posted even-par for the round.
• Young leads the tournament with 14 pars. She also has a team-best two birdies, which ranks 8^th in the event.
