MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's golf team opened its 2018-19 campaign in a two-team dual with Morehead State. Macy Wright finished second on the individual leaderboard as the Norse finished 15 shots back of the Eagles in the final standings.
 
Wright shot rounds of 76-75 and wound up two shots back of Gypsie Hutchinson. MSU's Bridget Connolly matched Wright's 151 total to share second.
 
Last season's leading scorer for the Norse Lillian Young finished fourth and freshman Caitlyn Tasney earned a seventh-place showing in her collegiate debut.
 
The Norse are back in action Sept. 10-11 in their own NKU Fall Classic, held annually at Elks Run Golf Course in Batavia, Ohio.
