ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Northern Kentucky women's golf team is in 10^th-place following the opening round of the Golden Grizzlies Invitational, hosted by Horizon League foe Oakland.
 
Team Tidbits

• NKU carded a 347 in the opening round and trails Detroit Mercy by two-strokes.
• Loyola Chicago leads the field after shooting a 317 to begin the tournament.

 
Norse Nuggets

• Sophomore Lillian Young was NKU's top scorer for the day. Young sits in the top-5 after shooting a 6-over par 78.
• Young carded three birdies, the second most of any player in the field.
• NKU also received countable scores from Kylie Lysack, Macy Wright and Delaney Welsh.
