ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland's Golden Grizzlies Invitational came to a close Tuesday afternoon with the Northern Kentucky women's golf team climbing two spots in the final standings, earning a share of 8
th-place.
Team Tidbits
- NKU shaved 21 strokes off of its first round total, tallying a 326 to finish with a 673 for the event.
- The Norse jumped past Niagara and moved into a tied with Detroit Mercy.
- Loyola Chicago and Oakland shared the team title with matching 638's.
Norse Nuggets
- Sophomore Lillian Young entered the day in fifth place and sunk a pair of birdies on holes 14 and 15, but slid one spot in the final standings. Her five birdies across the two rounds tied for the tournament lead.
- Wright shot 15 spots up the individual leaderboard after posting an 8-over 80. She finished t39th.
- Over the two rounds of competition, Kylie Lysack was also consistent, shooting 12-over Monday and following with an 11-over on Tuesday. Her 21 pars were the fourth most in the tournament. Lysack finished tied-27th.
