KETTERING, Ohio. – The Northern Kentucky women's golf team is currently positioned in the middle of the field at the Dayton Flyers Invitational, sitting in seventh place among 14 teams. NKU remains 10 strokes back of the top-five teams heading in to tomorrow's final round.
Team Tidbits
- The Norse posted an opening round 318 at NCR Country Club's North Course.
- Collectively, the team recorded six birdies on the day while playing the par-5's at one-over par.
Individual Highlights
- Senior Kylie Lysack led the team in scoring with a 77, placing her in a tie for 17th. Lysack tallied half of the team's birdies with three on her front nine.
- Erin Durstock and Lillian Young matched each other with 78's for the first round.
- Kelsey Wessels added the final countable score for the Norse with an 85. She posted back-to-back birdies on holes one and two.
