MURRAY, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's golf team closed the opening day of the Jan Weaver Invitational, hosted by Murray State, in 13^th.
 
Team Tidbits

• NKU opened with a 321 in round one before shaving five strokes off the team score for a 316 in the second round.
• Host Murray State leads the pack at 9-over par.

Norse Nuggets

• Taylor Schwarz had the low round of the day for the Norse, dropping a 1-over 73 in the second round.
• Macy Wright paced NKU with back-to-back 78s. She was one of the day's leaders in par-4 scoring, playing them at 5-over.
• Kylie Lysack used a cumulative 1-under scoring on the par-5 holes en route to carding rounds of 78-80 on the day.
• Schwarz and Lillian Young both played the par-3s at 1-over. Young posted rounds of 81-80 for the Norse.
