HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.– The Northern Kentucky women's golf team will travel just north of the Ohio River to tee it up against Dayton in a head-to-head 18-hole match. The teams will participate in the UD Flyer Challenge at the Sugar Valley Golf Club in Bellbrook, Ohio on Monday, Sept. 2.
Norse Lineup
All nine players will be competing again this Labor Day, led by seniors Erin Durstock, Kylie Lysack, Amy Pugliano and Kelsey Wessels. Juniors Kathryn Doss, Karly Egbers and Lillian Young and sophomore Delaney Welsh add to the lineup. Freshman Jenaleigh Ellis finalizes the roster for the Norse.
A Look at the Norse
In its most recent match, the Norse were led by Lysack as she recorded rounds of 77-74 which secured the runner-up finish. Young shot the second-lowest round for NKU in the final 18 with a 76. Welsh added two rounds in the 70's with a showing of 78-79.
Tournament Tidbits
Sugar Valley Golf Club is a private, par-71 championship course that features greens measuring over 10,000 square feet. The course plays at 6,037 yards from the gold tees and has hosted events for the American Junior Golf Association, the SOPGA Section Senior Championship and the Miami Valley Golf Association MET.
