LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's golf team sits in seventh place at the conclusion of the first 36 holes of the MSU Greenbrier Invitational.
Kylie Lysack led the Norse with two steady rounds, shooting a 74 (2-over) in the first round followed by a 78 (6-over) in the second. She is tied for seventh place.
Team Tidbits
- NKU carded a 318 in the opening round to earn a spot tied for fifth.
- The Norse finished the day with a score of 321, sitting two strokes back of UNC Asheville.
- The team leads fellow Horizon League competitors from UIC by seven shots.
Individual Highlights
- Sophomore Delaney Welsh followed Lysack's lead and added two countable scores in the 70's for the team. Welsh posted a six-over par 78 followed by a seven-over par 79 to claim 21st place.
- Lillian Young contributed to the team score both rounds with an 82 and 83.
- Kelsey Wessels and Karly Egbers added a score apiece to the team in the first and second rounds, respectively.
