HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – In its final fall tournament, the Northern Kentucky men's golf team is set to compete in the Xavier Invitational, hosted by local foe XU at Maketewah Country Club on Oct. 18-19.
Norse Lineup
Two Norse fivesomes will tee it up in the event. The black team is comprised of Alex Doss, Avery Green, Miles Paracco, Luke Muller and Tyler Mitts. Ryan Mitts, Brady Howell, Ryan Butler, Ian Rivers and Evan Stewart team up on the gold team.
Last Time Out
In the weather shortened Tom Tontimonia Invitational the Norse settled for a 10th-place showing after sitting in the top-five following the first round. NKU fired a 292 on day one and followed with a 295 in the final round on the second day, but seven teams posted scores in the 280s. Doss picked up a top-10 finish, placing tied-7th at even-par for the event.
Tournament Tidbits
Austin Peay, Butler, DePaul, Drake, Green Bay, IUPUI, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, Northern Illinois, Oakland, West Virginia (individuals) and Xavier will have representation in the tournament, which features two rounds on Monday and one on Tuesday. An 8:30 a.m. shotgun start is slated for both days.
Maketewah Country Club is a par 71 course that plays at 6,809-yards for the tournament.
