HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The fall season rolls on for the Northern Kentucky men's golf team with Ball State's Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational at the Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Indiana. The two-day event begins on Friday, Sept. 17.
Norse Lineup
Miles Parroco, Alex Doss, Luke Muller, Brady Howell and Tyler Mitts form NKU's counting five scorers, while Jack Kuhlman will tee it up as an individual.
A Miles at a Time
Parroco has led the Norse in each of the first two tournaments. His rounds of 74-72-70 were good for a share of 36th at the EKU Intercollegiate. The junior led the Joe Feagannes Marshall Invitational following the first two rounds, where he sat at 9-under par. His opening round 66 was one shot from tying Northern Kentucky's single-round record. Through his first six rounds of the season, Parroco has registered 24 birdies which ranks as the 25th-most in the country.
Last Time Out
NKU settled for a 12th-place finish in the team standings at the Joe Feagannes Marshall Invitational. The Norse were tied for sixth and within six strokes of second place through the first day of competition. Parroco was the top individual finisher with his 16th-place showing.
Tournament Tidbits
Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Indiana, serves as host of the two-day, 54-hole tournament. A 9 a.m. start on Friday kicks off the first 36 holes, while the final 18 are set for a 9:30 start on Saturday morning. The championship tees on the par-70 course play at just over 6,400-yards.
Joining the Norse in the tournament are host Ball State, Bowling Green, Butler, Eastern Kentucky, IUPUI, Loyola, Morehead State, Oakland, Ohio, Purdue Fort Wayne, Taylor and Wright State.
