HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The lid lifts on the 2021-22 season for the Northern Kentucky men's golf team when it travels to Richmond, Kentucky, for the EKU Intercollegiate on Sept. 3-4.
Norse Lineup
Alex Doss, Avery Green, Miles Parroco, Ryan Mitts and Luke Muller will tee it up for the Norse as the countable players in the team scoring. Evan Stewart is competing as an individual.
A Look at the 2021-22 Norse
Northern Kentucky returns veterans Doss, Green, Mitts, Brady Howell and Ian Rivers, but welcomes a bevy of freshman to the team. In addition to Parroco and Muller, the Norse also added Ryan Butler, Jack Kuhlman, Tyler Mitts and Evan Stewart to the fray.
Doss Represents
Doss had a spectacular summer on the links, as he won the 2021 Greater Cincinnati Golf Association Tony Blom Metropolitan Amateur Championship. After qualifying through two rounds of stroke play, Doss went on to win six match-play pairings in four days to take the title.
Tournament Tidbits
The University Club at Arlington hosts the EKU Intercollegiate. The par-70 course features a 6,653-yard layout. Friday's 8:30 a.m. start features two rounds, while just a single round will be played on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m.
16 teams are participating in the event, with Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Dayton, Jacksonville State, Longwood, Marshall, Missouri State, Morehead State, Murray State, Ohio, Purdue Fort Wayne, Samford, SIU Edwardsville and Western Carolina joining NKU and EKU.
