Men's Track & Field

@NKUNorseXCTF begins 2022 at Jim Green Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University men's and women's track and field teams were in action at the Jim Green Invitational Friday and Saturday inside the Nutter Field House, hosted by the University of Kentucky.

"With about half our teams down we were a shadow of our normal selves," said head coach Steve Kruse. "There were some bright spots that shined through, Maddie Frey ran a PR on Friday in the 5k, then returned on Saturday to run a significant PR in the 3k. Julia Pohl was our highest finisher in the meet and she set a NKU freshman record in the high jump."

"Cody Chism had a nice double this weekend, and Noah Pease opened up his spring semester with a nice 3k," Kruse continued. "It was a very competitive meet, we must get serious about our training after a long winter break and get ready for February. The Horizon League will be upon us in a heartbeat."
