The Norse return to Highland Heights for a three-game series this weekend against Horizon League rival Wright State. Northern Kentucky have been road warriors lately, playing the last 10 games away from home, dating back to March 4.

The Norse will next host Morehead State in a single nonconference matchup on Tuesday, March 29 before hitting the road once again to Milwaukee for a three-game series beginning Friday, April 1.
NORSE NOTES
• The Norse were selected to finish fifth this season in the Horizon League Preseason Poll.
• The trio of
Michael Hall (.389),
Manny Vorhees (.343) and
Treyvin Moss are leading the Norse offensively, hitting over .300 this year.

Treyvin Moss and
Brennan Gick currently are each riding four-game hitting streaks, while Gick is on a 10-game reached base streak.
• Northern Kentucky is led this season by first year head coach and long-time Norse Baseball assistant
Dizzy Peyton. Peyton began as a volunteer coach with NKU back in 2005.
• NKU is poised to return to Bill Aker Baseball Complex as the Norse have played just two games at their home field this season.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
Wright State enters this weekend with a 6-12 overall record, and kicked off Horizon League play last week by dropping a series at home to Oakland. The Raiders are coming off a 7-5 loss at Ohio State this past Tuesday as well. WSU has faced tough nonconference competition to begin the 2022 season playing such teams as #11 Georgia Tech, #3 Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech, Xavier and Ohio State. Leading the Raiders offensively this season has been Alec Sayre who leads the Horizon League in batting average (.403), doubles (10), doubles per game (0.56), hits (29), hits per game (1.61), runs scored (15), total bases (45), and on-base percentage (.500). He also ranks second in the conference in walks (13), fourth in slugging (.625), and sixth in stolen bases (5).
