@NKUNorseWGolf in second after first day of The Julie

BATAVIA, Ohio – Northern Kentucky's women's golf team sits in second place after the first round of its tournament, The Julie, Monday at Elks Run Golf Course.
 
First-place Green Bay is 12 shots ahead of the Norse, which leads Detroit Mercy, Thomas More, Niagara and Saint Francis.
 
Emmanuelle Hewson led the Norse Monday and ranks third overall. Delaney Welsh is sixth.
 
NKU hosts the 36-hole tournament in memory of former Norse golfer Andrew Jewell. The teams begin second-round play at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
