INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After helping lead the Norse to a 4-0 week, Northern Kentucky University Norse baseball infielder
Alex Brazer was named the Horizon League's Batter of the Week on Monday.
"Alex has been a great addition to our NKU baseball family," said Norse head coach
Dizzy Peyton. "He has been an extremely hard worker, and he has been a great representative off of the field as well. His hard work is displayed by this well-deserved recognition."
Brazer posted a .467 batting average, a .556 on-base percentage, and an .800 slugging percentage as NKU secured a midweek victory over Morehead State and a home sweep over Eastern Illinois. On the week, the Norse shortstop batted 7-15 with ten RBI, six runs, two doubles, a home run, and three walks. In NKU's 21-6 victory over Morehead State, Brazer batted in seven runs, as he went 3-5 with a homer and a double.
Brazer and the Norse are back in action on Tuesday, taking on Indiana.
