Final Results
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Northern Kentucky women's golfer Sarah Kellam finished tied for seventh in the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate. NKU's two teams closed the tournament in seventh and ninth.
Following an opening round 75 on Monday, Kellam carded a 6-over 77 on the final 18 holes to finish at 9-over.
The 7th-place effort was the second top-10 performance of the season for the sophomore. Kellam opened the season at the Jan Weaver Invitational with a ninth-place showing.
Ryleigh Waltz, Kristen Smith, Taylor Wogenstahl and Shelby Power teamed with Kellam to shoot 655 (+79). The quintet closed the tournament in ninth place. Waltz carded an 82 on Tuesday to finish t-43rd. Kristen Smith was three strokes back in 49th after shooting an 88. Wogenstahl (+27) and Power (+29) t-51st and t-54th, respectively.
The second quintet for the Norse posted rounds of 323-326 and finished seventh in the tournament.
Tara Clark and Molly Arnold led the charge with scores of 17-over to earn a share of 32nd. At 24-over, teammates MacKenzie Laumann and Allison Leigeb tied for 46th. Katie-Scarlett Skinner rounded out the quintet with a final-round 90 (+28, 53rd).
NKU returns to the course on Monday, Oct. 20 for the Dayton Flyer Invitational held in Dayton, Ohio. The two-day tournament will be contested at the 36-hole NCR Country Club. The Norse men's golf team will also compete in the event.
