Final ResultsGLENCOE, Ala. – A final round 320 helped Northern Kentucky's women's golf team secure a 10th-place finish at the Chris Banister Classic hosted by Jacksonville State.
Sarah Kellam led the pack on the final day, carding a 74 to finish the tournament tied-31
st with teammate Ryliegh Waltz with a three-day total of 240. Waltz recorded a final-round 75.
Kristen Smith led the Norse in the tournament, posting rounds of 84-74-77 to finish 19-over and in a tie for 22
nd. Smith was followed closely by
Kennedy Windlan, who registered an 82 on the final day to earn a share of 24
th at 20-over par.
The Norse received an improved effort in each of the three rounds from
Tara Clark. Clark posted scores of 86-84-81 and tied for 48
th.
Allisa Davis (t-52
nd) finished one-stroke behind Clark after shooting an 85 on the final day.
Troy ran away with the team competition, outpacing second-place Morehead State by 16 strokes. Fatima Fern Cano (+1) and Langley Vannoy (+2), both from Troy, claimed the top-two positions in order.
NKU is back in action on Oct. 13-14 when the Norse travel to Clarksville, Tennessee, for the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate.
