Round Two ResultsESTERO, Fla. –
Allisa Davis carded the low round of the day for Northern Kentucky's women's golf team, which dropped 21 strokes from its first-day total and held steady at 12th in the FGCU Eagle Invitational.
Starting on the back nine, Davis registered five bogeys before the turn and another on the first half or her second nine. But, the sophomore struck for a birdie on the par-4 fourth and closed her day with a 77. Davis moved up into a tie for 49
th.
The remaining four golfers in NKU's five-woman team also carded one birdie on the day.
Ryleigh Waltz, who led the Norse with a 75 on day one, birdied hole No.1 en route to her 79. Waltz is tied for 13
th, individually.
Sarah Kellam found her birdie on the par-3 14
th before closing the day at 8-over (80). Kellam moved into a tie for 44
th.
Allison Leigeb and
Tara Clark carded birdies on holes Nos. 2 and 10, respectively, while both women shaved double-digit strokes off of their first day totals. Leigeb was 9-over par on the day and Clark was plus-10.
Playing as individuals,
MacKenzie Laumann and
Shelby Power posted rounds of 14-over and 26-over, respectively. Laumann collected a birdie on the par-5 ninth.
After shooting a 338 Friday, the Norse rebounded to card a 317 team total Saturday. NKU trails fellow A-Sun member USC Upstate by nine strokes headed into the final round on Sunday. Tee times are slated for 8 a.m., and live stats can be found on
