KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Sunday's opening round of the 2015 Atlantic Sun Women's Golf Championship wrapped up with Northern Kentucky sitting in eighth place after both
Sarah Kellam and
Kennedy Windlan carded scores that put them in the top-20 of the individual leaderboard.
Kellam, NKU's leading scorer on the season at 78.44 strokes per round, notched a 5-over 77 to earn a share of 13
th. Windlan, who trails Kellam's scoring average by just a few tenths, was one stroke back at 78 and tied for 20
th.

Northern Kentucky's other two countable scores on the day were posted by
Taylor Wogenstahl and
Ryleigh Waltz, who shot 82 and 85, respectively.
Kristen Smith posted an 87.
As a team, NKU combined for a first round score of 322 (+34).
Kennesaw State sits atop the leaderboard after shooting 1-under (287) as a team. KSU's Dulcie Sverdloff is the lone player in the tournament under par after carding a 2-under 70.
