LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky baseball team fell to No. 6 Kentucky on Tuesday at Cliff Hagan Stadium, 10-1, in the final nonconference game of the 2017 season.
NKU's four-game win streak comes to a close as the Norse dip to 21-31 overall. Kentucky improves to 37-16.

- Trey Ganns threw 3.0 innings to start the game, giving up three hits and three runs.
- Seth Rosenberg contributed a scoreless inning, escaping a jam to strand three on base.
- Norse pitchers held UK to four hits through five innings.
- Travis Rowland relieved Rosenberg and struck out the side swinging in his first inning of work. Rowland pitched into the sixth and allowed three runs.
- Charlie Jerger and Joe Martin each pitched an inning with two runs allowed before Cameron Ross threw a scoreless eighth with two strikeouts.
Key Moments
- Kentucky jumped ahead, 2-0, with a two-run triple in the bottom of the second then extended its lead to 3-0 with a leadoff runner scoring on a groundout.
- Richmond doubled down the left-field line and scored on a Haueter RBI single to cut the UK lead to 3-1 in the top of the sixth.
- The Wildcats loaded the bases in the bottom of the sixth to bring Jerger out of the bullpen. A pair of two-run hits and an RBI single drove home in the inning to extend the Wildcat lead to 8-1.
- A pair of runs in the seventh scored on an RBI single for a 10-1 UK advantage.
