HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky women's soccer team took home a 3-1 win fueled by two
Shawna Zaken goals and
Kiley Keehan assists on Sunday against Murray State at NKU Soccer Stadium.
"Murray State has an excellent team, they beat Indiana just a few days ago," said head coach
Bob Sheehan. "They were a top-75 RPI team last year and they've been a regular participant in the NCAA Tournament. They've won the OVC Championship multiple times in recent years. That's a quality opponent and that's two [wins] for us now; Lipscomb earlier in the year, who were A-SUN defending champions, and now Murray State, another conference champion [from a year ago]."
