A quick point guard with great shooting range from the outside, Minor played a major role in NKU’s emergence as a national power. He helped the Norse win back-to-back regional championships (1996 and ’97) by averaging in double figures his junior and senior seasons. During the 1995-96 campaign, Minor averaged 12.8 points per game and dished out 172 assists as NKU won the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Region title for the first time in history. The Norse then defeated Cal State Bakersfield and Virginia Union before falling to Fort Hays State in the national championship game. The following year, Minor scored 11.3 points per contest as NKU repeated as regional champions. The Norse knocked off both Texas A&M-Commerce and Lynn (Fla.) to reach the national championship game for the second straight season. Cal State Bakersfield denied NKU the national title with a 57-56 victory over the Norse. Minor finished his career with 1,230 points and 529 assists. He also connected on 228 career 3-point field goals and shot 82.3 percent from the free-throw line. In addition, Minor scored a career-high 35 points against Wisconsin-Parkside on Feb. 15, 1996, a night in which he made nine 3-pointers.
