A powerful starting pitcher who helped make NKU a force in the region, Stoeber posted a 21-8 record during his career. In 1977, he tossed a no-hitter against Division I Xavier and set a school record with 10 complete games. His 21 wins still rank No. 6 all-time in Norse history, and he ranks in the top 10 in career strikeouts (149), innings pitched (181) and ERA (2.61). NKU posted a 112–41 record during his career and earned three NCAA II Tournament berths.
