A four-year starter at setter, Donovan finished her career as NKU’s all-time leader with 4,971 assists. As a freshman, Donovan directed the offense as the Norse captured their first GLVC Tournament championship in 10 years by defeating IPFW in the finals in Regents Hall. She was named GLVC Freshman of the Year – the first NKU athlete to ever receive that honor - after dishing out 1,259 assists in 1995. Two years later, Donovan led NKU to another GLVC Tournament title and its first berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament since 1981. As a senior in 1998, Donovan guided the Norse to the GLVC championship and NKU captured its first-ever NCAA Division II Great Lakes Region title by knocking off SIU-Edwardsville in the finals in Regents Hall. Donovan later became the first NKU player to receive All-America honors after being selected to the AVCA’s second team in 1998. Donovan finished her career with 218 service aces and 1,005 digs. She is currently the only NKU player to record at least 4,000 assists, 1,000 digs and 200 aces in a career.
