David Lee Holt NKU Hall of Fame
Middendorf was a four-year starter on the mound for the Norse and was one of the most decorated student-athletes in program history…He is the only NKU baseball student-athlete to be named All-GLVC during all four of his years with the program and he was also named the Pitcher of the Year to go with All-American honors to close his senior campaign…Middendorf finished his career with a 25-12 record to go with a 2.53 ERA…Those two marks (the wins and ERA) are ranked third and fourth all-time at NKU, respectively…He also holds the school records for strikeouts (344) and innings pitched (302.1)…Middendorf was selected twice in the MLB draft, first in 2010 by the New York Yankees (44th round) and again in 2011 by the Kansas City Royals (22nd).
