Nate Jones was a pitcher for the NKU Baseball team from 2005-07. He was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 5^th round of the 2007 MLB draft as the 179^th overall pick that year and he is still pitching for the White Sox.

During his last season as a Norse, Jones made 16 appearances on the mound, finishing the season with a 2.88 ERA. He pitched two complete games, including one shutout that year. He also recorded two saves in 2007. Jones also had 60 strikeouts in 56.1 innings pitched and held opposing batters to an impressive .185 batting average in 2007.
