David Lee Holt NKU Hall of Fame
Leimbach helped lead the NKU softball program into the national spotlight during her career and set numerous offensive records during those four seasons. As a senior, she earned All-America honors as NKU set a collegiate softball record by starting the season 55-0. That team also captured the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Region championship for the second straight season and won a pair of games at the Division II World Series before having its 55-game winning streak snapped by Lynn (Fla.). Leimbach finished as NKU’s all-time leader in hits (258), stolen bases (52), runs scored (151) and at-bats (730). She was also an outstanding center fielder and very skilled at bunting runners into scoring position. Leimbach finished fourth in NKU history with a .353 career batting average. Leimbach also was chosen as an NCAA postgraduate scholarship recipient after her senior year.
