Fields ranks No. 5 on the NKU all-time scoring list with 1,664 points (15.3 ppg). He was named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year in 1989 after scoring an NKU single-season record 664 points (23.7 ppg). Fields also earned NCAA Division II third team All-America honors in 1989 and was named NABC Great Lakes All-Region. He also earned the 1989 Athlete of Distinction Award at NKU.
