David Lee Holt NKU Hall of Fame
An outstanding all-around basketball player and clutch performer, Tuchfarber earned numerous honors and helped NKU win the 2000 NCAA Division II national championship. The versatile guard finished her career with 1,509 points, which is currently fourth in NKU history. As a sophomore, she led the nation in 3-point shooting at 52.9 percent and was named the most outstanding player of the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional. During her junior season, Tuchfarber was named the most outstanding player of the GLVC Tournament and later earned all-tournament honors at the Elite Eight after NKU won the national championship. She averaged 13.2 points and 4.3 rebounds that season as NKU posted a 32-2 record and won 24 consecutive games en route to the national title. Tuchfarber finished her career with 159 3-point field goals, which is currently No. 2 in school history. She was later selected as the Margery Rouse Student-Athlete of Distinction, which is awarded annually to NKU’s top senior student-athletes.
