David Lee Holt NKU Hall of Fame
Daryl Landrum spent 27 years as the head men's golf coach at NKU, and 23 years as the head women's golf coach after starting the program in 1998. During his tenure, Landrum won GLVC Coach of the Year nine times and Regional Coach of the Year four times. Just four years after founding the women's golf program, Landrum coached the Norse to a third-place finish at the NCAA Division II Finals in 2002. Under his tutelage, NKU's men's team qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 14 consecutive seasons, while the women's team qualified or had an individual qualify in 10 of 11 seasons. Landrum won a total of eight GLVC Championships (five men's, three women's) and four NCAA Regional Championships (three men's, one women's), and led the Norse to 74 team victories. The PGA has honored him on multiple occasions, naming him the 2000 KY Junior Golf Leader, the 2006 KY Section Golf Professional of the Year, and a Life member to go along with two KY Youth Development Awards (2002, 2007). Landrum also founded the NKY 7 UP Junior League, which held an event at every area course, averaged 200+ players per year for 20 years, and introduced thousands to the game of golf.
