Accomplished Northern Kentucky volleyball player Kerry (Lewin) Schrand-Rawe has been elected to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Hall of Fame.

Schrand-Rawe is part of a four-member Class of 2022, joining Lewis University softball head coach George DiMatteo, Lewis University baseball standout Mike Stevenson and Quincy University softball player Torie (Bunzell) Kueker.

The inductees will be honored at the Enterprise/GLVC Spring Awards Reception at the Drury Plaza Hotel in St. Louis on Tuesday, May 24.

Known in her playing days as Kerry Lewin, Schrand-Rawe made an immediate impact at Northern Kentucky. She was an All-GLVC selection as a freshman and led the league in service aces. She went on to earn two more All-GLVC honors in a record-setting career from 1992-1995.

Schrand-Rawe did not miss a game during her four years and helped NKU to a 106-32 (.768) record, including a 43-4 (.915) mark in the GLVC. Known for her legendary jump serve, she led the nation in service aces (152) as a junior in 1995 – a single-season record that remains third-best all-time in Division II. Her single-season 1.35 aces per set remain second-best in D-II.

Schrand-Rawe earned the GLVC Player of the Year in 1994 and 1995. As a senior she helped NKU win a conference championship as part of a 27-game winning streak to end the season. She also collected back-to-back All-Region honors in 1994 and 1995.

Inducted into the NKU Hall of Fame in 2007, Schrand-Rawe ranks sixth in program annals in career kills (1,582), second in career digs (1,729), and first in career aces (533), which still stand as the most all-time in Division II. Her 1.10 career service aces per set ranks second all-time in D-II.

She was also featured in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd” after setting the national service aces record as a senior.
